Analytical survey «Recognizing the potential of ICT in early childhood education», developed within IITE project on ICTs in Early Childhood Care and Education, has been out of print in Russian. It contains review and analysis of the existing literature in the area, best practice in ICT application in early childhood education, and recommendations for educators and parents on the balanced use of technologies with children. Being a unique publication in the area, it was highly appreciated by educational community involved in pre-school and primary school education. IITE was invited by the European Agency for Development of Special Needs Education to participate in the ICT for Inclusion project. The project will build upon the findings of the research project jointly implemented by IITE and the European Agency in 2011. In accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding signed on November 15, 2011, in view of improvement of quality of education at the UNESCO Associated schools by installation of  the newest educational and information technologies, and assisting countries in developing gender-sensitive teaching and learning materials that promote the equal participation of women and men in society and at work, the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (IITE) in close cooperation with Cisco Systems, Inc. organized  a joint training course “IT Essentials: PC Hardware and Software v4.0” for teachers of the UNESCO Associated schools of Moscow and Moscow Region,  face-to-face mode of which took place from 12 till 17 December 2011 in the IITE premises (Moscow, Russian Federation). The book “Open Educational Resources in Brazil: State-of-the-Art, Challenges and Prospects for Development and Innovation”(author – Andreia Inamorato dos Santos)  has been out of print.
