News: IITE and partners in action

Result-Based Management (RBM) Training and System of Information on Strategies, Tasks and the Evaluation of Results (SISTER) Training were held at IITE premises from 30 November to 2 December 2010. UNESCO HQ facilitators, Ms Othilie du Souich and Ms Anne Coupez, provided UNESCO Moscow office and IITE staff with exhaustive information on key principles of RBM approach and SISTER system usage. The International Conference IITE-2010 “ICTs in Teacher Education: Policy Development, OER and Partnership”, organized by the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education and the UNESCO Moscow Office, was held in St. Petersburg, the Russian Federation, on 15th and 16th of November 2010. The Conference was organized in close cooperation with the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia, the St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation and the St. Petersburg State University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics and with support of CISCO Company. The workshop, organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), took place on 1-2 November 2010 in Odessa, Ukraine. The International Conference "Informatization of Education 2010", organized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education, Belarusian State University, Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank with financial support of UNESCO Moscow Office, was held in Minsk, Republic of Belarus, on 27-30 October, 2010. IITE became a co-organizer of the 4th International Conference on Application of Information and Communication Technologies (AICT2010). The conference was held on 12-14 October 2010 in Tashkent (the Republic of Uzbekistan). On 28 September 2010 within the framework of the UNESCO World Conference on Early Childhood Care and Education held in Moscow IITE organized a special event Recognizing the potential of ICTs in early childhood education.

Inter-regional research and practice conference "Educational space of the Arctic: development through dialog and cooperation" was carried out on 3-6 August 2010 in Yakutsk (Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Russian Federation).
