The launch of ‘ICTs in Primary Education’ project

In March 2011 IITE launched a one-year project “ICTs in Primary Education”, aiming to facilitate the policy dialogue and build foundation for effective primary education by means of ICTs. As the first project activity, the meeting of experts will be held on 17 and 18 April 2011 in Poitiers, France. It will be organized in cooperation with the French National Centre for Distance Education (CNED). ICTs in primary education specialists from all over the world are invited to participate in the meeting. Among the participants are experts from Chile, Hong Kong, Hungary, Russian Federation, Slovak Republic, South Africa, UK and USA.

The purposes of the meeting are to:

  • establish the project expert team and mechanisms for effective coordination among the experts;
  • discuss the project implementation strategy and work out  project implementation plan;
  • define the roles and tasks of each expert within the project.

The project team leader Prof. Ivan Kalas from the Comenius University, Slovak Republic, will carry out the meeting.
