A workshop "Key components of the ‘Teachers of the Arctic’ Project as a basis for creation of an innovative learning environment for professional development of Arctic Region Educators”

A workshop "Key components of the ‘Teachers of the Arctic’ Project as a basis for creation of an innovative learning environment for professional development of Arctic Region Educators” was organized by the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (IITE) at the Institute for Development of Education and Teacher Training in Yakutsk, Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Russian Federation, on 28 February – 2 March 2011.

The Workshop moderated by the UNESCO IITE National Programme Officer, "Teachers of the Arctic " Project Manager Prof. Alexander Khoroshilov, jointly with the Project expert Prof. Alexander Uvarov, was attended by a number of teachers from all the Nordic and Arctic uluses of Yakutia, local project coordinators, representatives of the UNESCO Associated Schools, and heads of educational institutions of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
