UNESCO Contract Management Training was organized for the staff members of the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education on the premises of the Institute on 18 February 2011. Two facilitators, Mr Dimitriy Greshnev, Administrative Officer at the UNESCO Moscow Office, and Ms Aikui Yegiazarian, Administrative Assistant at the UNESCO Moscow Office, conducted the training.
The main objective of this workshop was to enhance professional capacities of IITE programme specialists in programming and contract management.
Dimitriy touched upon the most important moments of the contract management cycle as established in UNESCO, including types of contracts, rules and regulations relevant to each type of contract, contractor selection process, etc., while Aikui elaborated on the guidelines to be followed when submitting a payment claim within the contract to the responsible officer.
