The 13th Session of the IITE Governing Board was held in Moscow from 15 to 16 November 2012. At the opening session, Mr. Svein Osttveit, UNESCO Director of the Executive Office Education Sector (EO/ED) on behalf of the Director-General gave a speech on the current situation in Education sector of UNESCO, presented its objectives and the means to achieve them. He informed about recent launching of Education First by the Secretary General of UN, Mr. Ban Ki Moon. Also he stressed on the current debates on post -2015 education agenda.
