UNESCO IITE was invited to participate in the round table "E-learning: retraining and improvement of qualification during the crisis" organized by the Expert Council for Information Technologies in Education of the State Duma Committee on Education. For the first time the UNESCO IITE participated in the Open Education Global Conference 2016 which was held at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, Poland from the 12th to 14th of April 2016. More than 150 participants from Afghanistan, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Ecuador, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Lithuania, Mexico, Nigeria, Norway, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, The Netherlands, Turkey, United Kingdom and USA attended the Conference.
