This issue of the “UN in Russia” Bulletin features news of UN agencies and organizations for the period from January to March 2025.
The Bulletin includes information about the Operational Guidelines “Constructing UNESCO Media and Information Literacy Cities”, developed by the Organization’s Communication and Information Sector and translated into Russian by UNESCO IITE. This publication and other UNESCO achievements in the field of media and information literacy and relevant Russian-language resources were presented at the first All-Russian Scientific Conference “Media Education in Russia and Around the World: Challenges, Technologies, Practices”, held in March 2025 as part of the XV St. Petersburg International Educational Forum, and at the All-Russian Conference on the Role of Libraries in Improving Internet Security.
The issue also comprises the article about online learning for educators, organized by the Charitable Foundation “Investment in the Future”, UNESCO IITE and the Moscow City University.
The information about the series of webinars for high school teachers, vocational education and university teachers form the CIS countries is published. The webinars addressed the current challenges of education in the context of rapid technological changes and the growing need to develop research, critical thinking and presentation skills among schoolchildren and students.
