On 11 February 2025, an online training programme was launched by the Russian Charitable Foundation “Investment in the Future”, UNESCO IITE and the Moscow State Pedagogical University.
The training programme is intended for educators of pedagogical universities and colleges, institutes of professional development of education workers, education development institutes, staff of methodological centres and other specialists engaged in training and professional development of school teachers and students of pedagogical universities.
More than 280 specialists from Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Belarus, including school teachers, have begun to learn about approaches to creating educational environment that fosters personal growth of students and development of their social and emotional skills during webinars conducted by experts from the Foundation and Moscow State Pedagogical University.
A key component of the training programme is the Healthy Lifestyle module, which is delivered on the international educational platform EduHub. The module aims to enhance the participants’ understanding of how to cultivate knowledge and attitudes among students to embrace a healthy lifestyle, maintain their well-being, prevent violence and bullying, and foster global competencies, personal and social (“life”) skills.
Feedback from past participants has been extremely positive:
“I am eager to apply my understanding of emotional intelligence to better understand students’ emotions and foster a conducive classroom atmosphere. Furthermore, I am committed to providing a safe learning environment where each student feels confident and can express themselves freely.”
“The training programme was well received, with participants finding it interesting, energetic, practical and relevant. The opportunity to network with colleagues from other countries was also a valuable aspect of the programme.”
“The topics raised in the training are very important. Teenagers need knowledge about staying healthy, as well as their parents, and teachers need to be ready to deliver it.”
“The healthy lifestyle module has been very well received, and the videos are already being used in my work on different topics, including emotions, bullying and adolescence. I have found the manuals to be of great quality and would recommend them to my colleagues. Thank you.”
“The healthy lifestyle module tackles complex subjects in a straightforward and accessible manner.”
The online training programme will conclude on 23 April, and upon completion, participants will be awarded a certificate of professional development from Moscow State Pedagogical University and an EduHub-IITE UNESCO certificate.
