UNESCO IITE took part in a scientific and practical conference for teachers

UNESCO IITE became one of the partners and took an active part in the scientific and practical conference “The Modern Teacher as a Popularizer of Science: the Formation of an Innovative Educational Environment” held by the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization “Center for Innovative Projects in Education “KRON”” in Moscow on 19 December 2015.

The conference was focused on the educational technology development as a prerequisite for the improvement of education quality and successful implementation of federal state educational standards by means of summing up pedagogical experience of using innovative technologies in the educational process. The event was attended by teachers, methodologists, representatives of scientific and educational organizations, undergraduate and postgraduate students, young scientists and all other persons concerned. The conference programme included a plenary session and four thematic sessions – "Reformatica: The School of New Dimension," “Time Machine” as an Informational and Educational Environment", "Innovative Models of Early Childhood Education", "ICT in Modern Early Childhood Education" and "The Teacher – a Popularizer of Science in School. New Competences".

 Ms. Marina Korobeynikova ,UNESCO IITE Program Specialist, as one of the key conference speakers, and delivered an addressed at the plenary session on the activities and the role of UNESCO IITE in the development of education. Ms. Korobeynikova also moderated the session on the use of ICT in early childhood education and made the presentation "Innovative Models of Early Childhood Education. ICT in Modern Early Childhood Education". The presentation provided an overview of the analytical survey "Recognizing the Potential of ICT in Early Childhood Education" carried out under the leadership of UNESCO IITE.

During the conference participants acquired information about new projects on creating innovative learning environment in educational institutions in Russia and other countries. They also discussed topical issues of the ICTintegration in education and formation of teacher ICT competence. The conference became a powerful platform not only for the dialogue of educators, but also for the exchange of their experience in integrating new technologies and approaches into teaching and learning.
