Under the supervision of the Chief of the Unit of Teacher Professional Development and Networking (TPDN), the Individual Consultant shall be engaged into implementation of TPDN activities, in particular in its “Teacher Capacity Building with AI and Digital Technologies: E-Library for Teachers” project.
The Consultant shall play an important role in implementation of the above-mentioned ongoing project towards its objectives and serve as an integral part of the Project Task Force, taking active part in the meetings and discussions pertaining to the designated project initiatives.
In particular, the Individual Consultant shall:
- In close cooperation with the project’s donor NetDragon (ND), coordinate, check, improve and support development of the training system at the E-Library platform. As a result, the training part of the platform should contain training courses in the Russian language uploaded in a user-friendly mode with all necessary instructions for self-paced online training courses. Submit the list of the training courses in the Russian language to be harmonized and improved in line with the objectives of the platform by May 30, 2025.
- Contribute to the improvement of the assessment and certification systems of the existing online training courses in the Russian language, in particular, check and improve the assessment and certification part of the courses by making them user-friendly and aligned with the technical capacities of the platform. Formulate and develop relevant recommendations for the assessment and certification process in the English language for the technical team of the E-Library platform. Submit the recommendations before July 30, 2025.
- Provide testing, monitoring and evaluation of the uploaded online training courses at the E-Library platform in the Russian and English languages and prepare a relevant report related to its functionality and possible errors. Submit the report by September 30, 2025.
- Search and develop a list of the relevant online publications and other open resources developed by UNESCO and its partners in Russian and English languages, for the further upload to the E-library for teachers. The list of the publications and resources should contain no less than 20 items in English and 10 items in Russian. Provide support for uploading the resources to E-Library for teachers’ platform. Submit the links of the uploaded resources by November 30, 2025.
- During the contract period, participate in the online working meetings with the UNESCO IITE – ND project teams and provide consultative support as written responses to their questions throughout the whole contract period. Prepare a final narrative report on the implemented activities and submit it to UNESCO IITE by December 5, 2025.
Requirements for professionals:
- Master’s degree or above (preferably in Education, social sciences or related fields);
- Excellent command of the Russian language;
- Advanced proficiency in English;
- Strong skills in writing and editing materials;
- Proved experience in coordinating and development of online assessment and evaluation of training courses;
- Excellent communication skills and creativity;
- At least 2 years of experience in education;
- Desirable: familiarity with graphic and video content editing programs;
- Desirable: experience or knowledge of working in the non-profit sector.
