The 6th Creativity in Education Summit – “Empowering Creativity in Education via Practical Resources” will be held in Paris on October 17–18, 2024. It is the key event of the year for all those interested in developing creative thinking in formal and informal education.
In today’s rapidly changing world, creativity is becoming an increasingly sought-after skill, and education plays a crucial role in its development. The Summit is a unique platform for exchanging experiences, finding new ideas, and shaping a common vision of the future of education, where every teacher and student can unleash their creative potential. The organizers of the Summit — UNESCO IITE, the Global Institute of Creative Thinking (GloCT), and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) — will present their latest research and developments aimed at developing students’ creative potential.
The Summit participants will discuss a wide range of issues related to the implementation of creative practices in the educational process:

一 How to evaluate the effectiveness of creative education?
一 How to make creative resources accessible to all students, regardless of their social status and educational needs?

一 Kelly Freebody, Associate Professor of Drama Education, University of Sydney: «Theatre as a tool for developing creativity and critical thinking» and others.
The Summit will pay special attention to the role of digital technologies in the development of creativity. UNESCO IITE Director Tao Zhan will deliver a keynote speech «The Future Teacher and the Future MOOC », and the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education will host a session on the role of technologies in the development of innovations in education. The Summit is held within the framework of the project «Promoting Creativity in Education through the Use of Digital Technologies» implemented jointly by UNESCO IITE and GIoCT in 2024-2026.
