Under the supervision of the Chief of the Unit of Teacher Professional Development and Networking (TPDN), the Individual Consultant shall be engaged into implementation of TPDN activities, in particular in its “Teacher Capacity Building with AI and Digital Technologies: E-Library for Teachers” project.
The Consultant shall play an important role in implementation of the above-mentioned ongoing project towards its objectives and serve as an integral part of the Project Task Force, taking active part in the meetings and discussions pertaining to the designated project initiatives.
In particular, the Individual Consultant shall:
- Search and develop a list of the relevant OER resources, publications and online courses for E-library for teachers’ platform, developed in Chinese language and focused on ICT and AI use in education. The list of the resources should contain no less than 10 publications and 10 online training courses. Provide support for uploading the resources to E-Library for teachers’ platform. Submit the list of the chosen resources by November 10, 2025.
- In close cooperation with IITE team prepare emails for copyright holders of the publications and online training courses mentioned above and participate in the discussions related to the request for permission of uploading these resources at E-Library for teachers’ platform. Prepare a brief report on the achieved results before November 21, 2025.
- Prepare an announcement about the newest resources in Chinese language uploaded at E-Library platform. Submit an announcement in English language to IITE before November 05, 2025. After IITE’s comments improve it, translate it into Chinese language and publish this announcement at E-Library for teacher’s platform in Chinese language.
- Provide testing, monitoring and evaluation of the uploaded online training courses at E-Library for teachers’ platform in Chinese language and prepare a relevant report in English related to its functionality and possible errors. Submit the report by December 30, 2025.
- During the contract period, participate in the online working meetings with the UNESCO IITE – ND project teams through the whole contract period. Prepare a final narrative report on the implemented activities and submit it to UNESCO IITE by December 30, 2025.
Required background and qualifications:
- University degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in education, teacher training, social science, and related fields.
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in the field of education and teacher training.
- Experience in drafting high-quality, clear, concise, evidence-based documents and reports.
- High proficiency in MS Office Suite and use of advanced ICT tools.
- Capacity to remain efficient under time and resource constraints.
Desirable qualifications
Work experience:
- Familiarity with the UNESCO Priorities, major initiatives on Equity, Inclusion, ICT and AI use in Education.
Languages
Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and Chinese. Knowledge of Russian language will be an advantage.
