UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (UNESCO IITE) invites qualified individual consultants to support the implementation of the educational social media project DVOR in 2026.
DVOR is a youth-oriented digital platform operating on VK and Telegram (with additional web presence). The platform provides adolescents and young people with reliable, rights-based and evidence-informed information on HIV prevention, health, relationships, gender equality and well-being.
In 2026, UNESCO IITE seeks to engage four individual consultants to strengthen strategic communication, editorial production, content publishing, moderation and performance monitoring.
UNESCO IITE intends to conclude Individual Consultant Contracts with selected candidates.
The consultancy assignments are expected to be implemented during the period April–December 2026.
Applicants may apply for one or more of the following consultancy roles.
1. Strategic Communication and Content Development
This consultancy focuses on strengthening the strategic positioning and communication approach of the DVOR platform.
The consultant will perform the following tasks:
- further develop and update the DVOR communication strategy;
- identify priority thematic areas and communication formats;
- support the development of key messages and storytelling approaches;
- analyse audience engagement trends and platform analytics;
- provide strategic recommendations for audience growth and retention.

2. Editorial Coordination and Content Production
This consultancy focuses on coordinating editorial planning and supporting the preparation of educational content.
The consultant will:
- contribute to editorial planning and content development;
- support preparation and editing of approximately 90 digital posts per month across DVOR platforms;
- ensure consistency of tone, messaging and editorial quality;
- coordinate with content contributors and subject experts;
- support preparation of audio-visual and educational materials.

3. Publishing Strategy and Editorial Lead
This consultancy focuses on strategic editorial planning and coordination of DVOR content across platforms.
The consultant will:
- develop the publishing strategy, editorial plans and content structure;
- oversee content quality, consistency and cross-platform coherence;
- coordinate authors, illustrators and other content contributors;
- guide the development of educational, interactive and visual formats;
- support the rollout of content across social media and the DVOR website.

4. Publishing, Moderation and Social Media Performance
This consultancy focuses on the day-to-day management of DVOR social media platforms.
The consultant will:
- publish and schedule content across DVOR platforms;
- moderate comments, messages and user discussions;
- support audience engagement and community management;
- monitor reach, engagement and follower growth;
- prepare analytical summaries and performance reports.

Required Qualifications
Applicants should demonstrate:
- A first-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in communications, journalism, public health, education, social sciences, gender studies or a related field;
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in digital communication, social media management, editorial work or related areas;
- Experience working with youth audiences and educational or health communication initiatives;
- Strong writing, editing and communication skills;
- Ability to analyse digital engagement metrics and prepare analytical summaries.
Languages
- Fluency in Russian is required.
- Working knowledge of English is an asset.
Duration
The consultancy assignments are expected to be implemented from April to December 2026.
