From 29 to 31 August 2017, Mr. Edem Adubra, the Chief of the Section for Teacher Development at the Division for Support and Coordination of Education 2030 and Head of the Secretariat of the International Task Force on Teachers (UNESCO Education Sector) visited Moscow at the invitation of the UNESCO IITE Director.
On August 30, Mr. Adubra made a visit to the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN), where he delivered a presentation on the new strategy and activities of the Secretariat of the International Task Force on Teachers to achieve the goals of the Framework UNESCO’s action program “Education 2030”, and discussed with university experts prospects for future collaboration.
During the visit to UNESCO IITE, Mr. Edem Adubra met with the IITE team and got acquainted with the main activities of the Institute. As a result of the discussion of cooperation issues, an agreement was reached on the participation of the Institute in the work of the International Teacher Training Task Force.
At the next meeting of Mr. Adubra with officials of the Ministry of Education and Science and Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, the issues of appointing a responsible representative of the Russian Federation to work with the International Teacher Training Task Force were discussed.
