UNESCO IITE at the global EdHeroes online forum “Education in the Era of COVID: Family in Focus”

The new educational reality: how can we stop trying to avoid it and learn to act within it? This and other issues will be discussed on March 12–14 at the global EdHeroes online forum, entitled “Education in the Era of the COVID: Family in Focus”, which is being hosted by the Rybakov Foundation.

EdHeroes provides a fresh perspective on the main trends in education, as well as inspiring examples and best practices. More than 60 speakers from almost 20 countries – leading figures in education, children who are bloggers, and parents from around the world.

Keynote speakers of the forum:

The forum is being hosted by the Rybakov Foundation in collaboration with the University of Childhood Foundation in partnership with the World Bank Education, the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education, and OMEP, the World Organization for Early Childhood Education.

The forum is starting on 12 March (12.00-13.00 Moscow time) with the presentations from Igor Rybakov, Co-founder and Chairman of the Board of the Rybakov Foundation, Veronika Zonabend, social investor and entrepreneur, Steven Duggan, Vice President of Terawe Corporation, Member of the Governing Board of the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education.

Steven Duggan will share his view on how remote learning has both challenged and strengthened the partnership between family and school – parents, students and teachers.

On 12 March (13.00-14.00 Moscow time), Tao Zhan, Director of the UNESCO Institute for Information Technology in Education, will take part in the discussion “The pandemic effect: how to align education with family interests”.
