This year during the GSE-2026, a Global Smart Education Initiative was launched under the title: Envisioning Smart Schools, Piecing together the Future of education.
The initiative provides a framework built around five areas: smart learning experiences, teaching innovation, teacher professional development, forward-looking school planning, and home-school-community collaboration. Teacher professional development focuses on strengthening digital competencies, while the framework also incorporates learner development and well-being and addresses the role of AI in education.
