The partner of UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (IITE) – the Global Institute for Emerging Technologies Equity Team (GIET Equity Team) at the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) – launched its official website. It provides valuable resources for educators, researchers, and professionals in education technology and features international projects, publications from prestigious institutions, updates on past events, and registration for upcoming activities. UNESCO IITE cooperates with GIET Equity team on the project to advance educational equity and innovation through the integration of emerging technologies.
Since December 2024, UNESCO IITE and EdUHK GIET Equity Team have collaborated on five Forum Series events across Beijing, Hong Kong, and Chiang Mai. These events have served as pivotal platforms for exploring innovative technologies aimed at fostering inclusive and equitable education. By partnering with leading international organizations and universities, the series has attracted over 1,500 participants from 58 countries and regions, including representatives from national education ministries, academic institutions, private sector entities, and local K-12 schools. The Learning Innovations and Emerging Technology Forum Series, co-organized by UNESCO IITE, is highlighted on the website as a platform for discussing cutting-edge technologies and innovative learning practices.
