UNESCO-UNEVOC Regional Forum Europe, CIS and North America was held in Moscow, the Russian Federation, on October 28-30, 2013 and brings more than 100 delegates together to tackle greening TVET, meeting the challenges of youth unemployment and harmonizing international policy and practice.
The event was organized jointly organized with Moscow-based CVETS National Observatory on Vocational Education/Centre for VET Studies, with the support of the Moscow Institute for the Development of Education.
The three-day event, attended by leading experts in training, system analysis and policy advice, was focused on two of UNEVOC's priorities – youth employment and skills development and bringing an ecological perspective to TVET.
Ms Natalia Tokareva (UNESCO IITE) took part in the event. During her presentation titled “ICTs in TVET: UNESCO IITE experience” she shared the results of the Institute’s activities in the field, including the activities implemented within the joint IFESCCO/UNESCO IITE Project “Promotion of the USE of ICTs in TVET in CIS Countries” Potentials for closer cooperation with UNESCO-UNEVOC and its Network were identified and discussed.
