New Intern at IITE

UNESCO internship programme provides university graduates with a unique opportunity to acquire professional experience in its field offices and institutes worldwide.

On August 1 Ms Ayumi Uchida arrived from Japan to stay with IITE as an intern. Her six-month internship is supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan. Ms Uchida is completing Master course in International Cooperation Studies at the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. She studied Russian at the University and dreamed of working for an international organization in Russia.

"This internship is a good chance for me, – says Ayumi, – to acquaint with the work of international organizations, in particular, UN-family agencies in Russia. My involvement with the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education should help me get an insight into UNESCO activities in the education sector. I do hope that I’ll be able to use the experience I’ll acquire at IITE in my future career of international civil servant. I am also very enthusiastic about practicing and improving my Russian in Russia."
