Ricaud Auckbur

Mr. Ricaud Auckbur holds, under French Government Scholarship, academic degrees at Bachelor and Masters levels in Physics from University of Marseille, France. He also holds a number of professional degrees in Education, namely a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (Mauritius), a Diploma in Educational Planning and Administration (New Delhi), a post Graduate Certificate in TVET (Melbourne) and a Graduate Diploma in Leadership in ICT and the Knowledge Society (Dublin).

He has started his professional career as secondary school teacher in Physics. He then moved onwards into education administration and has been involved in educational planning and management at micro and macro level at various positions within the Ministries of Education and Tertiary Education in Mauritius.

He was the Director for E-Education of the Ministry of Education of Mauritius from 2011 to 2020. He has represented Mauritius in several Boards and Committees at international level including being Focal Point for the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) for Mauritius, National Correspondent for the Conference des Ministres de l’Education de la Francophonie (CONFEMEN) and also representative of the Ministry on the ICT Cluster of the African Union Commission.

He is presently the Acting Chief Technical Officer at the Ministry of Education. In this apex, polyvalent and multidisciplinary position, he leads the team of Directors of the Ministry and is engaged in policy advising and overall technical monitoring of all education initiatives in Mauritius.
