Elena Kazakova, Director of the Institute of Pedagogy at St. Petersburg State University, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Education, and the Executive Director of the Foundation, Petr Polozhevets, addressed the participants with welcoming remarks.
The participants were introduced to pedagogical practices aimed at developing education in the field of personal development, psychological well-being and health of children and adolescents. The round table discussed issues related to the formation of a safe, supportive and developing educational environment. Experts from the Contribution to the Future charity foundation demonstrated to the participants various technologies for developing psychological and pedagogical competence and supporting the emotional stability of teachers, as well as the social and emotional development of students. They also held several practical seminars on engaging parents in dialogue with the school and forming professional learning communities in teaching staff.
The results of the round table were summed up by Petr Polozhevets, Executive Director of the Contribution to the Future Charitable Foundation: “In a world of uncertainty that is growing every year, it is especially important not to forget about the internal state, about the ability to support oneself. It is not without reason that well-being is becoming one of the important focuses of education today. An important link in this is the formation of an educational environment in which the culture of relationships, pedagogical practices and the organization of space contribute to the well-being, health and personal development of children and teachers. We shared our experience of environment formation and are glad that it found a response from colleagues from other countries.”
