September 18-20, 2024 — International training seminar “Formation of a personality developing educational environment and a healthy lifestyle”

On September 18-20, the International Training Seminar “Formation of a personality developing educational environment and a healthy lifestyle” will be held in Cholpon-Ata at the Ak-Bermet Hotel.

The seminar will be attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Department of Education of the Bishkek City Hall; lectures from the KNU and representatives of its local branches, regional coordinators for healthy lifestyle education and winners of the competition “The best class hour on a healthy lifestyle – 2024”, school principals and teachers, representatives of UNESCO, the Charitable Foundation Investment in the Future, centers for the development of personality potential (CPDP), as well as international experts and partners.

The seminar participants will consider topics related to the formation of a healthy lifestyle, share their experience in creating a personality developing environment in educational institutions and discuss its impact on the educational process and its results.

Lectures from KNU will dive deep on different aspects of the newly developed program for advanced training of educators on the formation of a personality developing environment, promotion of healthy lifestyle and HIV prevention among learners. The principals and teachers of flagship schools will get acquainted with the topics, teaching and methodological materials and approaches to conducting mandatory class hours on healthy lifestyle in grades 6-11.

Among the various issues, the seminar participants will consider:

  • What specific tools and approaches can be used to equip learners with knowledge and skills and develop motivation for a healthy living?
  • How to take into account the individual needs of students when planning and conducting healthy lifestyle lessons?
  • What features of creating and maintaining a personality developing environment in educational institutions should be taken into account when planning changes in the school?

  • Sholpan Karzhaubaeva, Head of the Resource Center for the Development of Youth Health Centers in the Republic of Kazakhstan
  • Nadezhda Shorkina, Psychologist, teacher, consultant of UNESCO IITE, and others

The seminar is organized by the J.Balasagyn Kyrgyz National University in cooperation with the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education, the UNESCO Regional Office in Almaty and the Investment in the Future Charitable Foundation.
