Opportunity: Lead TeensLIVE & ParentsLIVE as Project Coordinator

The UNESCO IITE Unit for ICT in Health Education seeks to engage an organization (including Individual Entrepreneurs) to coordinate the TeensLIVE & ParentsLIVE digital projects from April to December 2025. The TeensLIVE and ParentsLIVE initiatives provide accessible, evidence-based resources designed to support adolescents and their parents in navigating essential health and relationship topics. TeensLIVE engages youth through interactive digital content, videos, quizzes, and peer-led dialogues, covering reproductive health (including HIV prevention and stigma reduction), mental health, bullying and cyberbullying, hate speech, body positivity, and substance use awareness. Complementing this, ParentsLIVE equips parents, educators, and caregivers with practical guidance, expert-led videos, and strategies for effectively addressing these sensitive issues, fostering open communication, and supporting adolescent well-being.

The selected provider must demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in youth-oriented media, health education, or related fields.

Key themes to be addressed:

  • Reproductive health (including HIV-related matters)
  • Mental health
  • Bullying and hate speech
  • Communication, friendships, and peer pressure
  • Dating
  • Body image
  • Alcohol and substance use
  • Violence prevention and information/cybersecurity
  • How to support parents in guiding their children through adolescence

  2. Youth Editorial Board and Teambuilding Sessions for TeensLIVE
The organization will form and train a youth editorial board, guiding and overseeing volunteers’ involvement in content planning, creation, and feedback processes. The organization will conduct four teambuilding sessions, ensuring that volunteers and staff remain motivated, well-trained, and aligned with project goals.
  3. Expert Collaborations
The organization will engage a minimum of two to three experts for TeensLIVE and up to two to three experts for ParentsLIVE. These experts will participate in online or offline events, question-and-answer sessions, and other project-related activities.

  5. Offline Events
The organization will plan and execute two major offline events for both parents and their adolescents: one focusing on HIV/AIDS awareness and another addressing mental health and bullying. This includes all logistical arrangements, stakeholder coordination, and event follow-up.
  6. Promotion and Community Engagement
The organization will oversee promotions and manage community interactions on social media platforms, including distributing gifts or incentives for competitions. This includes promptly responding to comments and messages, as well as addressing any feedback from participants.
