Global competition for teachers “Teaching in the 21st Century” is officially launched (Registration extended till 15 April)

About the competition

UNESCO IITE and NetDragon invite all educators, including teachers in primary, secondary, tertiary, and higher education, in-service or substitute teachers, and principals to participate in the international competition in the English language. This initiative will allow educators to gain theoretical and practical knowledge on the use of innovative technologies in education, enlarge their professional network and adopt the experience of their peers.

Steps to join the competition

In order to join this global event, please follow the easy steps:

Step 1: Register at the competition site before 15 April;

Step 2: Choose one out of four topics – Artificial Intelligence (AI) Education, Advanced Educational Technology Tools, Cybersecurity and Open Education Resources, Desktop and Mobile Applications;

Step 3: Prepare and submit (before 15 May) a mini project, which can feature lesson plans, recordings of open lessons, a mini course, educational interactive videos, and other relevant learning materials;

Step 4: Evaluate your peers’ projects before 15 May;

Step 5: Attend the award ceremony on 15 June.  

Awards

The top individual in each category (totally 4 winners) and 1 individual (Peer Choice Award) will have an opportunity to go on a 5-day study tour to China, visiting Beijing Normal University, and NetDragon Digital Education Town. Expenses in China including accommodation (single room), 3 meals each day, return flight tickets between Beijing and Fuzhou, transportation within the country, and travel insurance will be covered. Costs of international tickets, visa to China, and souvenirs will be borne by an individual.
