Become a Change-Maker: Join UNESCO & UNAIDS to Redefine Masculinity and Combat Gender-Based Violence in Armenia

UNESCO IITE, in collaboration with UNAIDS RST EECA, is excited to launch a transformative project aimed at building positive masculinities and addressing gender-based violence (GBV) in Armenia. This joint initiative targets adolescent boys and young men aged 16-25, positioning them as agents of positive change while also engaging girls, women, and older men among influencers to complement ongoing women-focused interventions. We are seeking dynamic professionals to join our team in the roles of Gender Dynamics Analyst and Digital Outreach and Education Coordinator. These experts will be instrumental in steering the project towards its ambitious goals of creating a non-violent environment and challenging harmful gender norms.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Gender Dynamics Analyst

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and Administering the Masculinity Test based on the International Men & Gender Equality Survey (IMAGES) Global Report 2022, localizing it to the Armenian context, and analyzing the results.
  • Facilitating focus groups to validate the test and gather insights from diverse populations within the target group.
  • Overseeing the digital design and integration of the test into the project’s platform.

Digital Outreach and Education Coordinator

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Creating an interactive digital educational module, starting with the masculinity test and followed by tailored educational resources to prevent GBV.
  • Launching and promoting the masculinity test and educational module via a comprehensive social media campaign, engaging influencers, and producing compelling content to transform social norms.
  • Identifying and collaborating with influencers and bloggers who advocate for zero tolerance to violence, producing and promoting impactful video statements to reach a broader audience.
