Meeting at the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation
The Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation held the meeting on cooperation with UNESCO IITE on 19 August, 2015. At the meeting chaired by the Assistant Director of the International Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Mr. Igor Ganshin participated: Prof. Alexander Khoroshilov, UNESCO IITE Officer-in-Charge, Mr. Amir Bilyaletdinov, Deputy Secretary-General of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, Ms. Leila Lazgieva, the Head of the Department for Cooperation in the Field of Education and Support for the Russian Language, Ms. Marina Yaskevich, the Vice-rector of the Pushkin State Russian Language Institute as well as heads of key divisions of the Departments of State policy in the sphere of general education, higher education and education of children and young people, and responsible employees of the International Department of the Ministry of Education and Science.
During the meeting the prospects of further development of IITE’s cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science and Rossotrudnichestvo have been considered along with opportunities for IITE participation in the project activities of the Ministry. IITE’s proposals on IITE participation in the implementation of the Federal Target Programmes on the development of education and Russian language promotion were discussed as well. Professor Alexander Khoroshilov acquainted participants with the publications and the results of the Institute's activities, which can be useful for the implementation of Federal Target Programmes. Also, the organizational issues related to the participation of representatives of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science at the197th session of the UNESCO Executive Board and at events of the 38th UNESCO General Conference have been discussed. At the end of the meeting concrete areas and options of the cooperation between Ministry of Education and Science and IITE were defined.
