UNESCO Director General, Mrs. Irina Bokova, welcomes the International Parliamentary Conference in Moscow

The Business Forum “Russia - Africa: Horizons of Cooperation” took place in Moscow on 15-16 June, 2010. The Forum was held within the International Parliamentary Conference “Russia - Africa”, organized by decision of the Council of the State Duma of the Russian Federation with the assistance of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, other federal departments and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia.

The main purpose of the event is to promote favorable conditions for development of multilateral relations of Russia and countries of the African continent including economic and humanitarian cooperation.

Given the significance of the International Parliamentary Conference  “Russia - Africa” as well as the important partnership  that UNESCO has with Parliamentary world, the UNESCO Director General, Mrs. Irina Bokova, sent her message on this occasion which was delivered by UNESCO Representative in the Russian Federation Mr. Dendev Badarch.
